Vernon Joseph Baker is one of seven African American World War II Medal of Honor recipients to be inducted into the Pentagon's Hall of Heros Monday, January 13 by Army Chief of Staff General Dennis J. Reimer. The Medal of Honor is the highest military award for bravery.
