"Day In The Life Of The U.S. Armed Forces" photojournalist Donald R. Winslow photographs U.S. Navy recruits as they take part in the ?Abandon Ship? phase of their final boot camp training and endurance exercise, an all-night series of tests and drills called "Battle Stations." Recruits must dive from a tall platform into the deep pool, don life vests and inflate them, buddy up with their division shipmates, and float for an extended time. Then they must work as a team to get into a life boat. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer?s Mate 1st Class Michael Worner.
