Winslow photographs U.S. Navy recruits as they take part in the ?Abandon Ship? phase of their final boot camp training and endurance exercise, an all-night series of tests and drills called "Battle Stations." Recruits must dive from a tall platform into the deep pool, don life vests and inflate them, buddy up with their division shipmates, and float for an extended time.
