A Search and Rescue (SAR) swimmer prepares to jump from an SH-60B ?Seahawk? helicopter assigned to the ?Saberhawks? of Light Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Four Seven (HSL-47), as another SAR swimmer waits in the water during the routine training exercise. The ?Seahawk? is a twin-engine helicopter used aboard cruisers, destroyers, and frigates for anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue, drug interdiction, anti-ship warfare, cargo lift, and special warfare operations. SAR swimmers provide naval units the ability to rescue downed aviators or mariners in distress at a moment?s notice. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer?s Mate Airman Rebecca Moat.
