This Day in History
1863: Confederate cavalry raider John Hunt Morgan and several of his men break out of the Ohio state prison and escape safely to the South.

1950: Eighth Army's 2nd, 24th and 25th Infantry Divisions began withdrawing to the south of the Chongchon River in the face of a large Chinese offensive. In the east, X Corps launched its planned offensive, not knowing Eighth Army's plight.
