Overview: After the siege of Avaricum, Caeser split his forces into two groups. (Caeser led six legions towards Gergovia.)Quintus Labienus led four legions towards Lutetia (Paris). Along his march a large force of Gauls positioned themselves between Labienus and his base at Agendicum. Labienus reversed his march and fought his way through the Gauls inflicting heavy casualties.
