USS Sioux, a 155-ton tug, was built in 1892 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for commercial use. Purchased by the Navy in March 1898, she served as a harbor tug at the Norfolk Navy Yard until 1901. She was then assigned to the Portsmouth Navy Yard, New Hampshire, and later to the Boston Navy Yard. Renamed Nyack in 1918 and designated YT-19 a few years later, the tug was sold in July 1921.
