USS Reposo II, a 157 gross ton steam yacht, was built in 1882 as Sophia. Later renamed Empress, she was enlarged in 1902 and given the name Onondaga. Her name was subsequently changed to Turbese and then to Reposo II. The Navy acquired her in April 1917 and placed her in commission in May. During the remainder of 1917 and the first months of 1918 she was employed on patrol duties off Florida and Georgia. Thereafter she was stationed at Charleston, South Carolina, where she decommissioned in December 1918. USS Reposo II was sold in August 1919.
