Salvage Barge Salvor (ID # 3418), 1918-1919

Salvor, a 180 gross ton derrick barge, was built in 1899 at Boston, Massachusetts, for commercial service. Employed prior to World War I for salvage work, she continued to be used in that capacity after the Navy took her over in July 1918. During the next ten months Salvor was stationed in the vicinities of Boston, Massachusetts, and New London, Connecticut. She was sold in May 1919.
