Siwash (Motor Boat, 1916)

Siwash, a 78-foot motor boat, was built at Morris Heights, New York, in 1916. She was acquired by the Navy for World War I service in June 1917 and placed in commission as USS Siwash (SP-12) two months later. Following patrol duty in the New York area she was decommissioned in May 1919. Siwash was transferred to the Department of Commerce in June 1919.
