For thirty years I've borne the shame
Of war-torn faces, but not the names
Just faces in the mist

Never-ending are the dreams
In my mind, always the screams
From faces in the mist

Thin veiled lies that you're okay
Knowing well you'll be dead this day
Faces in the mist

Promises of safety never kept
Years of tears I have wept
For faces in the mist

From the mist I'm beckoned home
I feel it's where I belong
With faces in the mist

Soon my tortured soul will rest
With my buddies who gave their best
Another face in the mist
