I've been to the mountain
It's called The Wall
I've rectified thirty years of hell
Of guilt and grief I've had my fill

On The Wall, 28 names I couldn't save
The pain, guilt, shame ate me alive
At times wanting to end my life
Why did these have to die

Time to move on with life
Asked forgiveness, gave forgiveness
The Wall was my healing
Now I can cope and live

The memories I'll always keep
Now, I have some better sleep
The guilt, shame, pain I've discarded
Just another medic making peace with God
