Castilla (Cruiser, 1881-1898)

Castilla, a 3289-ton wooden-hulled cruiser of the Aragon class, was built at Cadiz, Spain, and launched in 1881. Though essentially worn out by 1898, she was part of the Spanish fleet at Manila and was sunk by gunfire in the Battle of Manila Bay on 1 May 1898.
