Masan Army/Ammunition Depot
Masan is about thirty-five miles west of Pusan. During the war the haul from Masan to Chongju and back was 460 miles, and the turnaround took approximately 36 hours. In May 1955 the 142nd QM Bn was moved from Masan and assumed the mission of providing QM support to US/UN Forces in the Southern area plus Class I perishable support for all US Forces in Korea.
