Clark 'Jokes' Southerners Are 'Stupid'

Yet another Democratic presidential candidate has put his foot in his mouth while trying to appeal to Southern voters, and this time it's a Southerner himself, Gen. Wesley Clark.

"All Americans, even if they're from the South and 'stupid,' should be represented," Clark told the New York Daily News on Thursday, in a quote first reported in Sunday editions.

Clark was commenting on ex-Vermont Gov. Howard Dean's attempt to reach out to Confederate flag-carrying Southerners - and he prefaced his "stupid Southerners" quip with the qualifier: "This is a joke."

Who knew Gen. Clark was such a comedian.

What's next? Will the Arkansas Rhodes scholar follow his joke about stupid Southerners with more "humorous" stereotyping about Irish drunkards, cheap Jews and lazy blacks?

That would surely spice up the campaign trail.

After these learned men decided that the Confederate Battle Flag was to them all washed up and not worth them courting my Vote I went out and bought a Few window stickers from the rebel store in N.C. and a 3'x3' square Army of Virgina Confederate Battle flag that my Wife has wanted for awhile.I got for my Ford Ranger Pickup truck a "Cherokee Braves" Confederate Flag Plate to display on the front bumper in support of some of my Cherokee ancestors fighting for the confederacy,then there is My Scotish and English decent Ancestors who also fought for the Confederacy. Yesterday in the Georgia Times-Union Editorial section the Cartoon showed Howie Dean getting a Boot in His A** like in Toby Keith's hit song from a Southerner with a CBF on his pichup truck as Fosdick Tracey used to say "See Ya' in the funny Papers"
