Three minutes before the "start your engines" command. Gotta go with Stewart #20 but still my favorite has to be Martin with little chance of getting to the checker first.

Anthem now. Gotta go.

The 01 Mark martin won , except nascar gave the win to the 29.
Soon as the wreck happened the field was frozen. and the 01 was in the lead. NASCAR is so full of crap. they can't even follow there own rules.

It was determined by the caution flag. Martin was passed before the caution came out. Where's the rule book?

The caution wasn't thrown, until race was over, It should have been thrown as soon as it happened. When the wreck happened Mark was in the lead and if the caution would have came out when it should have , Mark would have won. Nascar can't follow it's own rules. Soon as a wreck happens the caution comes out , Seems pretty simple to me. Not a half lap latter.

Jeff Burton 3rd, Elliot Sadler 6th.....good day for me.

Ron, I thought the rule was as soon as there's a wreck that the caution needs to come out, the yellow is thrown immediately and the field is frozen. NASCAR decided to let those two finish the race since the wreck was behind them. Great finish but your right, what is the rule? Would they have done it if it was a Ford and a Dodge fighting for the win with Jeff Gordon in third?

Pac. I thought your guy was Ward, DNQ.
The 40 looked good for awhile.
Marting should have won that race. The field should have been frozen just like this picture.

At the second that Kyle Busch came up from the apron and slid into Kenseth, Kevin Harvick had passed Mark Martin and your picture, Ron, was only the result of that Busch / Kenseth slide. The rule is that the field is frozen when the yellow flag is raised and the yellow lights go on throughout the track and normally when the entire racing field is in a lone pack of cars coming to the checkered flag (like there was in yesterdays race since the race was already under the green - white- checker rule of NASCAR due to the red flag with just 5 laps left to run) the checkered flag will have priority over the display of the yellow and the race ends at the Start / Finish line with due caution used after the crossing of that line.
Harvick won fair and square damn it. I would have loved it if Mark Martin took Checker first and we would have seen all of the pit crew teams line the pit walls like they did when a black #3 Chevy driven by Earnhart Sr. won it his first Daytona not that many years ago.
