I was in 10th grade study hall after lunch in the school library. I heard someone scream up the hall near the office and then loud crying.
The other day while cleaning out some storage rooms, I found a lot of my high school newspapers ( The Paw Print...as we were the Wildcats ). I have the one published right after this that describes the thoughts and feelings that day. I can remember in 7th grade science class on the second floor of Westside High School in Memphis, looking down as people were voting for Kennedy and Nixon for President...
A few days later, I had went out on our front porch, as it was warm that day, about the time Oswald was shot, so I missed the event that has been replayed billions of times.
I, as many others, have done a lot of research into JFK's presidency and why he was murdered. The three things that he wanted to do : Dismember the CIA, abolish the Federal Reserve Bank ( he had already printed money that did not have that at the top... I have a $ 5 bill.. ), and withdraw the troops from South East Asia ( he had already signed the order ) sealed his fate.
After I did the research, in my mind he became an heroic figure. To stand up against the forces who work behind the scenes to manipulate and destroy our country, knowing full well that he would be killed.
As I have said many times...the best book I have read about this coup is "Kill Zone: A Sniper Looks at Dealey Plaza", by Craig Roberts. This is his website :

I pray that the Kennedy family can find some measure of peace.
