Looking For A Few Good Men

The ?Central Intelligence Agency? is on a recruiting drive to find (and hire) ?Americans of Arabic Descent? to join the ?Fight Against Terrorism!?

With the events of the last few years (moles within the system), still fresh within the minds of many, I hope that the CIA and other ?Mega-Law-Enforcement-Agencies? tred softly and carefully! And no, I am not revising the opus written by Senator Joseph McCarthy (Tail-Gunner Joe) some half century ago!!

I further hope that the CIA (or is that Homeland Security), will not engage (this time) in the importation of mind-screwing drugs such as LSD and BZ, earmarked for use upon our own people? They did it before you know (DAIG-IN 21-75, COS 385 & Church Senate Report on the use of hallucinogenics, 1977!)

It is not paranoia to assume that an enemy is out there in the shadows, waiting to strike. But for the most part, the guy (and gal) next door is just as patriotic and concerned as you and yours! This analogy of domestic fear and distrust is what lead to the rise of McCarthyism and MK ULTRA to start with! It lead also, to the imprisonment of thousands of loyal Japanese Americans during World War II! ?Of course we must remain vigilant, but not domestically trigger-happy!?

Granted, there is a delicate line that exists between legitimate and illegal activities, especially in times of war, even within the private sector. And terrorism must be confronted and beaten back at every turn, lest paralyzing fear grip us by the ass! And granted again, this is a new type of war, but we must always remember that ?Sam? is our Uncle, and not our Big Brother! As such, I personally feel that we have to tred carefully and affirmatively at the same time!

And once again, let many remember that ?Old Uncle Sam has a long memory? - especially as concerns a few of our part-time friends and allies!!
