I thought our steel pots were supposed to stop everything but a 155.

If that was your helmet, it explains alot . Great picture. Was that at your basecamp, or did you find the pic somewhere?

True Story: A buddy of mine was shot in the helmet. The round went halfway around the helmet between the liner and the steel pot, and exited the other side. Knocked him cold. We had some other WIA and the medic kept working around him, thinking he was KIA. He came to just as some guys were trying to put him on a poncho to get him to a dust off. Except for a major headache, he was no worse for wear. He continued to wear his "Lucky Helmet" for the rest of his tour. He was never touched again, so it worked .

I didn't take it, I have had it in my pictures for quit awhile and I have no idea where it came from.

Ron that helmet is priceless. I would like to have one like it for when I get my motorcycle this spring. there is a helmet law in this state but I think I could dig up a DOT sticker what a hoot that would be. thank I love your humor.
