Some years back, there was a Democrat and Republician candidate in the run-off for Governor in Virginia and they was having a debate. The Republician canididate said "whenever we have a Democrat adminstration in the Governors office, all they want to do is tax and spend". The Democrat canididate responded by saying "and whenever we have a Republician adminstration in the Governors office, all "they" want to do is borrow and spend". Take your pick.
