06-26-2011 05:00 PM MCB QUANTICO, Va. -- A new commander has watch over Marine Helicopter Squadron 1’s flight deck. Col. Matthew Glavy transferred command to Col. John Faircloth at the squadron’s change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Air Facility Quantico on June 24. The squadron was first conceived in 1947 to pioneer airborne warfare concepts.
