Default "America's Contingency Corps"

Over 14,000 Soldiers from across the XVIII Airborne Corps participated inthe XVIII Airborne Corps run at Fort Bragg, Feb. 2. Lt. Gen. Frank Helmick,commanding general, XVIII Abn. Corps and Fort Bragg, and Command Sgt. Maj.Earl Rice, XVIII Abn. Corps and Fort Bragg command sergeant major, led theSoldiers along the four-mile route. The XVIII Abn. Corps recently redeployedfrom a year-long deployment to Iraq as part of Operation New Dawn. Runnersincluded Soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division out of Fort Drum, N.Y.,the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command from Fort Knox, Ky., the 35thSignal Battalion from Fort Lewis, Wash., and 3rd Infantry Division from FortStewart, Ga.
