Default CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct. 5, 2017)

CARIBBEAN SEA (Oct. 5, 2017)

The Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) sails off the coast of Puerto Rico to provide humanitarian relief. Comfort is currently underway supporting Department of Defense (DoD), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Puerto Rico's Office of Emergency Management on a route to help those needing medical services. The DoD is supporting FEMA, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
