It's All Just Good Business

Quite a few years back, a highly decorated and now departed, old gent referred to some of the nefarious dealings of mankind as, and I quote: “Just Good Business?” Well, and for the record: This didn’t set too well with me back then, and upon further reflection, “I Still Do Not Care For It At All!”

There are, again in my opinion, certain things that no real human being will do for wealth, notoriety or even name recognition? “But not to worry, as I have learned since that time, that very damned few people share in this analogy!” And for a country that prided itself upon its new approach to life, behavior and success, we quickly learned that there wasn’t much profit in being just a straight-shooter, a man of your word, or even in personal honor?

And after all is said and done, we have quickly become a nation where financial success has become the alpha and the omega of our existence! A country where being just a millionaire is humdrum, and where honesty is idolized - just as long as it is the other fellow that is doing all of the giving?

Was this really “What Our Founders Had In Mind” or have we become so damned gullible and weak-kneed that we now reside within “A Society of Do As I Say And Not As I Do - Lock-Stepped Clones And Robots That All Bark, Only Upon Command?”

“We Are All Still Americans You Know" and in that title, there is yet plenty of pride and power! But might I also remind you that Ancient Rome As Well, once knew no peers or even equals in its hey-day!! And Remember Also: Neither a despot, a sucker nor even a damned fool be – “Or You Just May Remain Thus Forever!”
