Now I do not know how much truth there is in all of these exposes that are being aired about “Political Corruption”, but one thing still stands out as being eminently disturbing, and that is that any politician, in any government office, could use their position to peddle influence? In short, we certainly pay most of these bureaucrats enough money to ‘quite-handsomely’ live on? And for that matter, where could any politico find the time to expend so much of his efforts in investigating the dealings of another member of the same bureaucracy? When, in fact, they should be dealing with “Our Nation’s Collective Ills”, along with all of those other mundane issues of public office? “And yet, we still wonder why there is so much turmoil in the world?!”

So tell me again, ‘please do’ about how a few of these handsomely-paid bureaucrats can find the time or the inclination, to (reportedly) engage in such illegal activities as influence peddling? And does the reputation (or the image) of “Our Nation” mean so little to a few of them, that they could besmirch the combined heritage of 246 years that were gifted to them (and justly earned and deserved), by men and women like Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Lincoln?

And once again people – “This is Our Country” – and it belongs to each and every patriot - past, present and future alike! And “No American-Human Being” has the right ‘nor the mandate’ to despoil that honorable heritage that we should (and must) leave intact for our children, and this, for all generations to come! There is great honor in being an ‘American’, after all, but there is also, more than a modicum of responsibility, pride, duty, heritage - “And Yes – There Is Even Some Pain As Well!”
