The speed of light is roughly186,000 miles per second, or roughly 671 million miles per hour! And yet, even at this mind-staggering speed, it literally takes light-years to travel from one point to another in outer–space (WOW)!!

So the next time that some cop pulls you over for speeding down the interstate, at say five to ten miles above the posted speed-limit of seventy miles per hour, I ask you to keep this in mind, and to envision just how long it would really take for you to voyage to even the outer limits of our very-own puny-little galaxy, and this while traveling at the current speed limits –
