farm trip yesterday...

[MORTARDUDE]

The owner is in his mid 70s. Some years back they raised show ponies. He comes out mostly on the weekends now. He wanted to build a house up on the hill about midway back but his wife likes living in the city...go figure...He just likes
lots of different kinds of animals. I told them they need to get some ostriches, giraffes, bears, and big cats !!! LOL ..

The llamas he has are very tame. Not like camels at all. I still cannot get over how intelligent they look. Much smarter and more inquisitive than some dogs I have run across. The miniature donkeys are sweethearts also.... All except of the two males. All they do is raise hell ! It is only a few miles from where I lived my first 2 years...
Lucy, TN. We then moved to Frayser, TN., which was annexed into Memphis in 1958. They made the road in front of our house
wider right afterwards because of the International Harvester plant nearby. In the process they had to cut down a bunch of old trees including elms and oaks that had to be way over 150 years old !!
There were some Baltimore Orioles that always nested in our big tree in the front, plus some blue jays and mockingbirds that terrorized me when I was little, when their nests were nearby...
