Choosing Up Sides?

If the whole planet is indeed choosing up sides for the big one (Armageddon perhaps), then the current worldwide shuffling of alliances was probably written down in blood, long before the creation of any (so-called) ?International Super Powers!?

?Alas, once there were many (Super Powers), then there was but two, and eventually, only one remained!!? We are now, however, getting to a point in time when every swinging dick with a nuclear or biological toy in his back pocket, is barking aloud like he had a pair!

And ain?t it amazing what a little professional scripting, a ton or two of makeup, and a gaggle of high-priced political goons backing your play can accomplish? Many a Caesar has been created of just such stuff you know! Actually, the whole mess has (in my opinion) been boiled down to a ?Second Rate B Movie? with a little ?Washington DC Intrigue? blended in for good measure!

?And now you know why some politicians have also diverted their talents to celluloid, and vice-versa!? Hell, before long there will be no need for elections, as ?Hollywood Casting? will select those who run the country, and even guys like Sylvester Stallone or Bruce Willis could capture the Oval Office, if of course, they had an aircraft carrier to victoriously land a jet fighter upon!? ?But what the Hell, if it?s good enough for ?Jollywood!??

Alas, the whole world has become a stage - even politics! And I fear that we now choose our political leaders in the same fashion that one would select a beauty queen or the top breed in some international dog show! To hell with ability, and to blazes with achievement, it is now how good the guy looks mounted up the cockpit of a jet fighter, or posturing like some talk show host, before the cameras!

Looking presidential amidst a platoon of world-class thugs, and villains also helps! And of course, surrounding yourself with real achievers, genuine heroes, or people who really made a difference for the better, is always good for one?s image and advancement as well, do you not agree!

If Hollywood and the media has really influenced our political minds with the bogus deeds of bogus individuals, then look out folks, Popeye, Mighty Mouse, or even Goofy, just may become our president in the very near future!? (Come to think of it?)
