Are Apathy, Ego & Complaceny - The True Key To Our Own Destruction?

“Could it possibly be that being in the catbird’s seat is it’s own quintessential nemesis?” Or is it arrogance and complacency that are part and parcel to this throne, and the real seeds of destruction? Getting to the top, after all, requires naught but true dedication, real guts, limitless ingenuity and genuine drive! Slipping back to the bottom, however, only requires ego, poor hindsight and apathy!

And so it has been for all great world powers. The Greeks, the Romans, the British Empire, the U.S.S.R., and yes, even our own magnificent United States of America, if that is, we are not ever diligent and cautious?

All world powers seem to possess a common thread? In our case, however, that ever fraying - golden string, is our attempt to elevate the entire planet to our own economic, social, educational, moral, and democratic levels? “You can not, after all, alter the mindset of the entirety of humanity, no matter hard you try!”

To assist those who genuinely aspire toward social and economic advancement is one thing, but to give away the entire show to those who are out to bury us, is quite another!
