Still Climbing Mountains
Some pics of a climb up small peak outside Ellensburg. Very steep climb. Kinda dangerous in spots. Lots of loose rocks and had to be careful.

The Last Pic.
My son Kevin went with me. He almost lost his leg in a motorcyle accident. Has very little movement in his left ankle. Going downhill was really rough on him. He was in lots of pain by the time we got back to the car. He won't do that one again. It's a very steep climb 1500 ft in about mile. Much steeper than even the major mtn peaks. The climb could be dangerous if you don't pay attention in a few spots. Loose rock was the greatest danger.

Great pictures Keith. Does the timber post signify the peak?

The Post is the top of the Peak
The post is the top of the peak. Sign-in box is there. Great views into Kittitas Valley and Down the Yakima River Canyon. Loose rock is what makes it a little dicey.

Melody,
You are suppose to come and visit me. The Cascade Range over all is the most rugged Range in the continental USA. They start at basically sea level and go to over 14,000 ft in spots. Very pretty Mountains. Keith |
