A few observatioins:
1. Glenn Beck had nothing ot do with my purchase of several $$k of gold many months ago. And he has had nothing to do with the fact that my purchase has now doubled in value. The price of gold is more a function of international consensus about the global economy; if that community perceived a rising productivity, minimal or no inflation, minimal or no unemployment, and minimal or no regionally hostile actions that threatened major nations, the prive of gold would have climbed only marginally. But since many of the above conditions are on the positive scale of activity, gold prices rise. 2. This nation moved away from its original intent of being and remaining a constitutional republic when the 17th amendment was pushed on the American people by the progressive socialist, Woodrow Wilson. Before, US senators were appointed by the state's legislatures. All the senators are now are glorified representatives. 3. A requirement to be a property owner as a qualification to vote seems like a very good idea to me. People need to rethink the negative pstentiality of a pure democracy, something that Jefferson for example, feared and loathed. 4. According to current law, a corporation is recognized as a 'person' under the law, i.e., that 'person' can be sued, can bring suit, and can be punished. Absent that recogniztion, corporations could be even more virulent and abusive than some already are. But to deny them the opportunity to participate in the electoral process, while labor unions have no such restrictions, is ludicrous. 5. A national ID system, other than the Social Security system which was never intended to be an ID system, would solve many of the problems of wetbacks and other illegals from voting. I have been carrying around a national ID card in my wallet for the past 30+ years, and have yet to see the black helicopters, black Chevy Suburbans, or other manifestations of Big Brother around or near me. Bring it on.

Blue...,
Great suggestion. But such just won't ever benefit America & We Americans.
Such, as most things lately, only benefit career political panderers & illegals (as usual). Criminally Illegal Aliens (Terrorists inclusive) would then be FORCED to vote & support their patrons, so as to achieve whatever other right & perks America foolishly offers & gifts such ILK...at Solely YOUR/MY/OUR Expense. NO ONE ELSES!!! Anyway sliced: "We The (Schnook$) are ALWAYS ones getting short end of the stick. Plus, getting tired of being worldwide mocked, ridiculed & laughed at. Neil
