Well, now that you say it that way Trav I suppose that is one way of seeing it... the dictionary is not as much help as maybe it oughta be

And, I asked the question here because it is a conversation that does seem to come up in our thoughts fairly frequently, all of us who are military and such... DO seem to be involved in the discussion whether we like it or not (I, for one, wish it would NEVER come up!), but since it does reappear, I thought maybe it wouldn't hurt to give it a chance to be talked about IN this context.

I guess the difference between doing so here and on Yahoo or wherever other civilians have held forth about it is just that we ARE vets or actives here, so our take on it is apt to come from that viewpoint.

I probably just don't actually know enough about the topic myself to have even started the thread... which is kinda selfish of me, then, to have done so... and probably means that it'll die a fast death of its own accord here shortly. If so, I won't bring it up again, but when it DOES come up again, as it surely will, on other threads, I just think it oughta be let to run its string...

I was one of the first 50 or so members to this site and I have never seen it come up until you started asking about it. Don't mean to get in a big pissing contest here, although the topic is important to you, I don't feel it belongs on this site. Sorry. This is not ment to dishonor or disrespect anyone here, just my own thoughts.

The thing of it is this has absolutely nothing, nothing to do with being a Marine.

As you say, this is between oddz and yourself, so why then have you posted and conversed about this in four different forums now. If this is just between the two of you, one of you pick up a phone and call the other one so the rest of us, and the many school aged children who visit this site, can be spared all the details.

I give a damn who you or anyone else marries. I do care about what my children and my neighbors children read. They or I should not come to a web site expecting one thing and receive another. This has zero to do with history, military, terrorism, homeland security, civil service...etc, all of which this site is based on.

I have neither the power nor the will to kill this thread, I think it should be left as is so everyone on this site can view it and make the same conclusions I have. Which is you will do any to draw attention to yourself, otherwise why so many of the same posts in different forums.

I have never said this to anyone on this or any site, but I am through with you. I am completely and throughly disgusted by your actions.
