Just a slight correction for the readers that haven't been with us long. There are two owners of this website and I am not one of them.David and Bernadette deserve all the credit for building and maintaining this site and keeping a whole family of people connected.

a few tiny little innocuous questions...
Does one have to be a veteran to be a patriot?
Is this site Veteransfiles.com or is it Patriotfiles.com? I keep seeing the word "veteran" tossed around in regards to relevance to statements and threads posted and frankly I'm confused. There are many here who are not vets but are very supportive of our country and her constitution. Isn't there a forum entitled, "Veteran's Concerns"? Isn't this one called, "Political Debate"? I would think if the posting were required to be related to veterans and military issues then it would be posted there and not here. If this were the "rule" then Keith's jokes shouldn't be posted at all. Most of them are not military related. Don't get me wrong...I love Keith's jokes! Although they are corney sometimes. I'm just saying, please think about what your are writing before you click that mouse button. Make sure that this is really what you intend to say and be prepared if someone doesn't agree with you. That in truth is what a debate is...agreeing to disagree. Have a good night folks. DL

DL.............
I wasn't going to waste anymore time on this thread (even though initially mine). But, since you're the first responder to bring up some very good and valid points and questions (the first being the best),...I figured that the least I could do is acknowledging your fine response.
Regardless, I can flat-out state that: "Non-veterans can be patriots",...and to which I'm absolutely certain than MANY MANY Mothers, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters would gladly attest to. Neil |

"When you right - you right"...muh man.
Still, I thought that DragonLady's fine response warranted some form of courtesy or acknowledgement for her efforts,...at least. Neil P.S. Voted. |
