What a joke! Police ... any government agency,etc. ... has NO RIGHTS! Citizens ... individuals have rights. Police have a job ... a responsibility to uphold the law. The very idea that this is their "right" is ass-backward. I hope the old vet sues their pants off ... for the bill and unlawful arrest ... and wins. (He won't though, 'cuz he knows the taxpayers will have to pay.)
