WTG-KGIMPY YOU FINALLY AGREED THAT BOTH PARTIES COULD CARE LESS ABOUT VA UNTIL ELECTION TIME.I NEVER SAID THE GOP WAS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT VA.
YOU ARE NOT BEING INTELLECTUALLY HONEST WHEN YOU CONTINUE TO BLAME THE VA PROBLEMS ON THE GOP ONLY.THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN THE DEMS.SOMEONE ON THIS FORUM POSTED A LIST OF 50,000,000 DEMS WHO WERE VETS WHICH TELLS ME THE DEMS SHOULD BE MORE TUNED TO FULLY FUNDING THE VA.
----OH WELL ----IT DOESN'T MATTER.BOTH PARTIES WILL CONTINUE TO SPOUT THEIR PROPAGANDA ABOUT HOW THEY SUPPORT THE VA EVERY 4 YEARS.

Default It's

ONLY "propaganda" by ONE side.

All you gotta do is go to the "Congressional Record" for the past ten (10) years and SEE for yourself WHICH political party has voted ....consistently......to support and fully fund military veterans initiatives and budgets and WHICH political party has NOT! The votes in Congress TELL THE TRUTH!

NO ONE CAN DENY THIS !

G

Gimp---prior to 1994 the congress was in the sole possesion of the dems.Even if a gop president was to veto a bill to fully fund the va,the dems could have overrode it.
I'am sorry I don't have to time to research like you do.I have to rely on memories of the past, and what I have read.I have been going to the VA here in Okla. City for 34 years.I have a 20% disability.I have seen the VA go through a lot of changes over the decades. They have always needed more each year, and they have to rely on politicians and their promises.Never kept by either party I might add.
Every year for 3 decades the VA is tasked to make cuts so as to meet the budget they have been given. In our facility here there is always some kind of pie chart each year depicting what cuts have to be made dto meet their budget. It is amazing the VA here has done so well over the decades with the restraints of a yearly budget forced on them.
It's to complicated and extensive to go into on this forum, but the bottom line is the VA is NOT fully funded.Blame who you want if it makes you feel good.
I refuse to put blame on one party. It's and American shame, and as far as I'am concerned if both parties feel they are on the ball, then they both can "bounce up and kiss my Ass".
All those high and mighty veterens in congress who stick out their bony chests, and talk about their disabilities, medals, war wounds etc, should hang their head in shame for what they have allowed happen with VA funding over the last 4 decades.

--QUITE FRANKLY I'AM SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT CLELAND,KERRY,BOB KERRY,BOB DOLE,INOYUOE,AND THE REST OF THESE POLITICIANS WITH WAR WOUNDS AND DISABILITIES GOING ON ABOUT HOW THEY SUPPORT THE VA.THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF VETERANS WITH SAME OR WORSE DISABILITIES WHO HAVE TO WAIT EACH YEAR TO SEE WHERE THE VA HAS TO CUT TO MAKE ENDS MEET.FORTUNATELY WE HERE IN OKLA. CITY HAVE A VA THAT TRIES TO DO AN OUTSTANDING JOB WITH WHAT THESE POLITICIANS GIVE THEM EACH YEAR.------

----THIS IS MY OPINION AND IT IS LIKE MY ASSHOLE--I HAVE ONLY ONE AND IT USUALLY STINKS.
