Get your own lawyer Larry. $225/hour is way cheaper than the possibilty of losing all you've worked for in the past 32 years. I went thru it without a lawyer and got skunked. Had to sell my house too. I'm sure it would have been much better with my own lawyer.
As far as the cost, I had some real estate dealings many years ago. I hired a young lawyer who didn't know shit. I fired hime after about a month and a half and many dollars. I hired a new guy with real estate experiance for double the rate of the former. BUT.....he got it completely settled in 1/2 hour. Turned out he was much cheaper than the first one by virtue of his experiance and contacts.
