Default 'Sfunny how it collects

Lay around for a few short years and see what happens.
I'm getting to like it now again, esp the swimming.
I'm not a body builder type (my body, anyway) but I do like to be fit and mobile. My Dad is 81 and he still bicycles. He told me : Son, after you hit 50, its all about staying healthy. My Mom is 80 and she walks 5 miles a day.
My younger brother runs triathelons--I wonder what he does when he wants o have a BAD time.
I'm going hiking again this year to Desolation Valley--you can carry a gun but no meat collecting

James

Default Hunting keeps me somewhat fit

I'm with you Griz, I backpack into the north Georgia mountains at least 2-3 times a year hunting for 4 days at a time. Plus several other hunting trips during the year. Have to stay somewhat in shape to hang lights for the Olympic Games also. Never have been a gym rat, but I can put a 60 lb backback on and go all day long.

Default Diabetic

Masher51, have you been to the VA about diabetes? Type II adult onset diabetes is classified as a service connected disability due to Agent Orange, if you served in RVN. DO NOT SHRUG THIS DISEASE OFF IT WILL CAUSE BLINDNESS, AMPUTATION and/or DEATH. Besides it will get you a 20% disability or more.

Masher,
I heard there are entertaining ways to lose weight. Maybe Mae could send out her workout manual! Puts a whole new meaning on the words you're tired of.

James,
I used to "work out" but now I have this inside job. Conditions are so much nicer now. I used to "pump iron" too. I was in the rebar crew back in my construction days. Its kinda nice being softer now.

I was concrete inspector on tthe Giants PacBell Park during which I had to inspect several acres (not kidding) of rebar.
If you seen several hundred thousand tons of rebar youve seen it all

but i'm liking getting back ino shape--I was about 20 lbs overweight--the point where I have to do something.
I wear 32's, when they get tight its time to diet.
I get flashbacks of the Army when I exercise, we ran a lot and under great stress--then there was combat too.
