I had something nice happen to me today...

Isn't it nice when someone does something nice..
I got dad a licens plate that sais "veitnam vet" on it..
Lots of ppl have noticed it and told him "welcome home"too..Its always a nice feeling even just as his daughter..
I had on guy tell me I should be proud of my dad..
my ansewer was: I am as proud of my dad as I can be and I am also proud of each and everyone one of my friends I talk to..

A couple of years ago my son, Scott, got me a personalized CA VETERAN license plate for Father's Day. Since he lives in Japan, he had some help from his Mom. In CA they have MANY military insignias to choose from for their plates. He had a 101st insignia put on it and personalized to say 66VNAM. What a nice kid!

I get quite a few thumbs-up. Awhile back, while parked in downtown Palo Alto, home of Stanford University, I got back to my car to find a piece of paper on my windshield. DAMN! I got a ticket. When I opened it up it was a note saying "Thank you for your sacrifice. Many of us were proud of you back then, and many of us appreciate you now." Really choked me up. You don't get alot of that around here.
