Yup Larry, sho nuf', and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
If that is what it takes to make this nation a truly Federal system (even if it means people get sick and tired of it ) then, so be it. |

Yup, I have begun to take the view that when an unstoppable momentum meets too much resistance, it is sometimes just wiser and more expedient to pull a Judo move on it... step aside and let it fall on its face. I'd say the same about "gay marriage" for that matter, SOOOOOOOO much hassle has seeped into our lives over it, I'd just as soon let it be done and gotten over with so the rest of us can attend to what is truly important about our nation.
I've been reading a really interesting piece about the matter of "choice" itself, for example, especially American choice... you know, choosing between alternatives and such as that. Turns out, humans are definitely much more content with FEWER choices, time and time again scientifically demonstrated. Instead, we are literally unable to get AWAY from being offered choices, which does in fact, apparently, create A LOT of needless anxiety. It's sorta how I feel about the PC computers, where to do the simplest damn thing takes six click moves and a 28 pound instruction book... like going across the street by way of Constantinople. |
