Default Any B-52 crew out there?

I need some info from anyone flying Buffs in Nam around 1970.

A poster in another group claims to have been Australian SAS in Laos
when they found proof the CIA was running opium. He claims that he
barely escaped a CIA tasked B-52 raid on his position when he
overheard (what luck!) a transmission from in inbound Buff discussing
a target lat lon (that happened to be where he was standing.)

1. Would a Buff ever request or send a target lat lon in the clear?
2. Did Buffs ever drop napalm?

Thanks

I would go to google.com and type something like "CIA opium laos". I am
sure will find tons of info to confirm your doubt. Why ask when the
information is at your finger tip? You find it, analyze it, and form your
own view. I did and found an interesting article right of the top of search
results:
http://www.voxfux.com/features/drug_trafficking.html

If the CIA was capable of doing this. It was capable of doing anything.
Enjoy the listening from below:

CIA In Chile. Click on the words to listen!

If the CIA was capable of sending bin laden millions of dollars and
sophisticated stinger missiles to fight the soviet union, then the CIA was
capable of doing anything.

If the CIA was capable of abandoning its moral principle by send millions of
dollars and arms to Po Pot, and helping train his bloody army, then the CIA
was capable of doing every unbelievable act.

The list of what the CIA was capable of doing can go on and on. It was in
my view the CIA was not the mastermind, but those bastard Presidents like
Richard Nixon who did not understand the words of the constitution, and
subsequently abused the powers of the constitution.

That was not so much the CIA as it was Good Time Charlie Wilson.

You got the rest of it wrong, as well.

Good Time Charlie! Made you think of east Texas didn't it and not so far from
the house either? Hee.

He was a good family man when Author Temple first sent him to congress but like
so many country boys he went to hell fast when he saw the bright lights of the
big city.

He was an astute politician and despite one embarrassment after another I swear
the sum bitch could have kept going back to Congress as long as he wanted. The
old people here love him and I will say he took care of them.

Ah, nowhere but Texas.

#2- Napalm- A qualified yes. Two missions for operational testing, not
against a fragged target. Didn't work real well. The B-52s had to drop
from around 12K AGL vice 33K AGL to get anything resembling a
concentration. Created a firestorm that suffocated itself in short
order. CRS on the exact timeframe. I believe the Navigator that was on
the mission told me it was during the dry season in War zone D around
1969. The details and emails should still be on the B-52 website

I agree.

How about the issue of sending target coordinates in the clear?

Its a rumor that belongs in Snopes.
No American's ran any dope in S.E.A.
My bet says it originated from Jack Anderson.
