(EXCERPT) By JENNIFER P. BROWN jpbrown@kentuckynewera.com A Hopkinsville woman recently helped Florida officials dedicate a new $9 million nursing home in honor of her late husband, Staff Sgt. Clifford Chester Sims, who died fighting in Vietnam with soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Mary Sims Parker -- who stood with Florida Gov. Jeb Bush to cut the ceremonial ribbon at the nursing home in Springfield, Fla. -- said her family was honored by the recognition. "It was very exciting for all of us," Parker said. "I really feel it was a worthy honor for him because of what he did to save his comrades."
