New monument remembers those who served in Vietnam

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial dedication was held at Waterworth
Memorial Park in Salem on Sunday. AMVETS Post 45 hosted the event that
featured veterans from VFW Post 892, American Legion Post 442 and
AMVETS Post 45 along with featured speaker, Congressman Ted
Strickland, Salem Mayor Larry DeJane and Columbiana County
Commissioners. Master of ceremonies was Vern Johns. Above, among those
reflected in the memorial as they pay their respects are veterans
William Syppko, Jr., National AMVETS Representative, John P. Brown,
III and his wife and Ohio AMVETS District 10 commander Rodney Hughes,
