American Airlines to open Vietnam office

(EXCERPT) Fort Worth-based American Airlines will open its first
office in Vietnam to take advantage of growing tourism and business
opportunities there, according to a Reuters report.

American's office will open Feb. 4 in Hanoi.

The airline's move follows an aviation agreement signed last month
that lets U.S. carriers fly directly to the country for the first time
since the end of the Vietnam War about 30 years ago. The pact also
allows unlimited code sharing, which lets an airline sell seats on a
partner airline.
