The US aims for No1 investor in Vietnam

(EXCERPT) US businesses will seek trade and investment opportunities
in Vietnam as the country has the best growth prospects in Southeast
Asia this year, according to Ernest Bower, President of the US-ASEAN
Business Council (UABC).

"This is the year of Vietnam for the US-ASEAN Business Council. We are
going to focus our attention on opportunities here because Vietnam
represents perhaps the highest growth potential in South East Asia in
2004," Bower said at a press briefing in Hanoi on Thursday.

relations at present and the need to promote such relations,
especially in trade, investment, science and technology,...
