![]() Obama’s Plan to Continue to Battle Smearers
01 Dec Posted by MacRanger as Barack Obama, News As we know the Obama campaign went to great lengths, and cost, to “silence the smearers” and other “distractions” during the campaign. Now two sources from within the camp are telling me that Obama is planning to create an even more aggressive stance once he is in office. The plan includes “punishment” to networks and other news sources that “get too close”, or investigate news that the Obama people determine are “off limits”. News organizations that violate these off limits areas will be subjected to interview “blackouts”. As you might know FDR created an Office of Censorship in 1941 to censor information coming in and going out of the US during the war. However, this would be the first time a sitting president would use such tactics to keep critics and genuine questioning at bay. However, the greater question still will be how he will do this? We already know that his supporters have run the gamut of threatening prosecution - as was the case in Missouri - all the way to peeking into the background of an ordinary citizen - such as Joe the Plumber. All because he had the audicity to ask a question. http://macsmind.com/wordpress/2008/1...ttle-smearers/ Fox News shut out again at Obama press conference.» Fishbowl DC has been keeping tabs of which media outlets have been allowed to ask a question at President-elect Barack Obama’s five press conferences so far. They report Fox News is 0-5. “Questions instead went to such outlets as ABC, New York Times, CBS, Reuters and the Associated Press.” http://thinkprogress.org/2008/12/01/...ss-conference/

![]() Obama admits: I was just a random campaign quote generator
By Michelle Malkin • December 1, 2008 05:58 PM Here’s your quote of the day in case you missed the press conference this morning. Responding to reporter Peter Baker’s question about his mockery of Hillary Clinton’s tea-sipping foreign policy inexperience during the campaign, Barack Obama basically admits that his words were, well, just words. (And as his Secretary of State nominee reminded us during that campaign, some of those endless strings of words, words, words weren’t even his own.) In other, ahem, words: Barack Obama was nothing more than a random campaign quote generator. B-b-b-but it’s the media’s fault for quoting them back then and for resurrecting them now. Straight from the mouth of The One (vid via Allah): Partial transcript: This is fun for the press to try to stir up whatever quotes were generated during the course of the campaign, and you’re having fun. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m not faulting it. But, look, I think if you look at the statements that Hillary Clinton and I have made outside of the heat of a campaign, we share a view that America has to be safe and secure, and in order to do that we have to combine military power with strengthened diplomacy. Words. http://michellemalkin.com/2008/12/01...ote-generator/
