These past few weeks have shown that, although we live in turbulent times, we can take steps to thwart the fanatics and extremists who try to impose their messages and philosophies on others using violence. Through vigilance and a proactive stance, anyone can make a difference and stop or upset the plans of terrorists. Just ask the homeless fellows who alerted police about pipe bombs in Elizabeth, NJ. Or the fellow who spotted someone sleeping outside a bar and recognized he's a wanted terrorist.
