“Wildcards” prepare for Tropical Storm Dianmu
Soldiers from the 2nd (Assault) Battalion, 2nd Aviation Regiment, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade move a UH-60 Blackhawk from a hangar at Seoul Air Base Aug. 11 following a severe weather exercise conducted in preparation for tropical storm Dianmu. Once the storm passes, Soldiers must take the helicopters out of the hangar and unfold the blades. The aviation unit conducts weather training several times a year to ensure readiness for the Korean monsoon season.
