Many little girls don't fantasize about becoming an engineer but for a young Missourian this wasn't the case.Cathy Funkhouser a hydraulic engineer with Little Rock District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers grew up loving math and science with a dream of one day being an engineer. "I liked math and science when I was young and knew I wanted to be an engineer," she said.This passion led her to be selected for the Little Rock Districts USACE 2017 Engineer of the Year where she was formally recognized by Col. Robert G. Dixon, commander of Little Rock District, USACE during a ceremony June 15, 2017.
