WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. (July 18, 2018) -- Pvt. Mercedes Hernandez, animal care specialist, and Spc. Robert Benford II, food inspection specialist, from Public Health Activity-Fort Lewis, Whidbey Island Branch, discuss the stocking of shelf-stable food items and water rations during the Whidbey Island Community Preparedness Expo. The event was part of the public health mission to work with local communities to increase readiness in the event of a disaster.
