I read the post - not good "but not" meant to be intentional
The word expressed by the Professor is still very sensitive to people of color.
I'm Italian grew up being called a "Dago" for years.
That's street verbiage and from a Professor to use it was wrong.

"I'm sure it wasn't said to hurt anyone but should not have been said in class with people of color." I'm sure the Professor was not meaning to degrade anyone just poor judgement.
