TRUTH IN GOVERNMENT

I may not have been raised in a political setting, even though my family had been well entrenched in the defense of our nation for countless years. I did, however, believe in certain values that I have painfully learned occasionally have no place when pitted up against agenda, cronyism, or being a team player at any cost!

I had always felt that truth was the quintessential guiding principal of our government, even if only when dealing with one’s own people? And as such, I felt that one could prove a point if the preponderance of evidence, the reams of documents, and a paper trail that was long enough to reach to the moon and back, was in your favor?

Alas, the best laid assumptions of mice and men are often buried under a mountain of expediency and lies, especially when pitted up against any “Absolute Powers That Be”, no matter from whence they hale. For if this were not true, what need would there be for Political Damage Control, Spin Doctoring, and occasionally, The Deception of One’s Own People? This can not possibly be what we as a nation are all about, or what our Founding Fathers intended!

Regardless of who it hurts, and taking into account that discretion is sometimes the better part of valor - “Truth Is Still Truth!” There are no shades of gray in honesty, although at times people’s interpretation of truth may indeed vary. This, however, allows for “NO” latitude when outright lies are engaged in in order to satiate greed, benefit a clique, or capture absolute power! And he who abandons truth, abandons his own soul as well. “For where there is no truth, there is no real honor!”

You Said It All In But Two Sentences!!!

The "Truth" comes out in proportional degrees. It's tainted and often times written in such a jargon as to be ambigious. Therefore, government writes things - that when read we are told we've miscontrued the true meaning - as they say. However most average individuals can read between the lines without all of formal jargon used and see what is going on. Therefore when we speak of the truth we may find that each of us may have in part miscontrued some of data based but that is based on each person's ability to interpret of what they reading.

Ever notice if you took several people to watch the same movie - notice how each one comes away with a different meaning of the movie or the characters. This is to be human I would expect. Things are often times written to sway our thoughts away from the true meaning of what is really being proposed. Here again they skew their writtings in hopes of deceiving us in the final results.

I also do not favor pork projects sent through on government funding issues. These are buried into the text to favor the states whose representatives are trying to pay back the (favors) for monies allocated to them during their re-elections. These kickbacks are killing us and driving up the countries expenses.

Try to bull some of this crap in your family budget and you would surely find yourself bankrupt in a short period of time.

It's difficult get absolute truth from anyone. It's our nature to write things with some exaggeration as it adds flare and drama. The government is really good at this - as the real truth would be shocking and damning and who wants that other than the media. Truth - is reality - its honesty - its factual and its beyond reproach. But who really knows the truth by the time we hear it by word of mouth it may already be interjected with many more skewed lines thereby slanted true meaning.
